iMago (Family Based Art Appreciation) is an innovative art kit designed for children and teenagers (aged 7-14), aimed at fostering creativity and exploration in the world of art. With iMago, young individuals can delve into the fascinating history of art movements while engaging in hands-on activities and projects. From impressionism to surrealism, iMago provides a comprehensive and interactive way for children and teenagers to learn about various art styles, artists, masterpieces, museums and galleries. Based on paint-by-number technique, with step-by-step engaging materials, iMago inspires young minds to express themselves artistically and develop a deeper appreciation for the world of art.
iMago involves practical art sessions that use painting kits and encourages family members to participate in the learning process.
The goal is to make learning about pictorial art more enjoyable and engaging for young individuals by teaching them about famous art movements, prominent artists, and important museums and galleries around the world. Besides gaining knowledge, children and teenagers will have an immersive experience and opportunity to have fun and learn about masterpieces.
According to the Department of Education, GCSE specifications in art and design require students to know and understand how sources inspire the development of ideas. For example, drawing on:
- the work and approaches of artists, craftspeople or designers from
contemporary and/or historical contexts, periods, societies and cultures.
- contemporary and/or historical environments, situations or issues.
As an outcome, young individuals:
- Are able to distinguish important art movements and historical milieus.
- Know all the names of the movements, artists and world museums/galleries.
